BRINGING EDUCATION AND OPPORTUNITY WHERE IT'S NEEDED

Jennifer is Chair and Director of The Charity of Hope, which has raised over $1.5 million for children in need in Canada. In Oakville, Jennifer assisted in the creation of The Charity of Hope music room at Kerr Street Ministries in Oakville, Ontario that provides weekly music lessons to young children who would otherwise not have access. In Milton, Jennifer assisted with the creation of The Charity of Hope children’s room at Halton Women’s Place to provide a shelter for children of mother’s who have had to flee their homes as a result of abuse.

A proponent of social justice, Jennifer believes that every child should have access to education. There is a direct correlation between education and success in life and as a result, in 2012 Jennifer created a scholarship for young students requiring financial assistance at the University of Windsor Faculty of Law. The following year, Jennifer went on to create a scholarship for young students studying English and Philosophy at Kings College at Western University in their last year who have an interest in health and wellness.

Jennifer is also a strong advocate of Halton Women’s Place .  This organization provides shelter and crisis services for abused women and their dependent children.

Jennifer is representing Canada as Mrs. Canada Universe 2020 in the Mrs Universe Pageant and will spend her time advocating for women and their children against domestic abuse. Read more about her pageant work here .

Jennifer and her family plan events in Hamilton, Oakville and Brantford each year to raise funds for the children in the Hamilton, Oakville and Brantford areas. In 2014, Jennifer and her family built a new home for Ryan who became a quadriplegic as a teenager. He and his family are forever grateful to The Charity of Hope and the Mercanti family.
